Peppermint essential oil is a versatile natural tonic, renowned for its instant "refreshing" effect and its multiple applications.

Digestive and analgesic, it relieves both nausea and headaches, while offering a revitalizing action on the body and mind.

Its intensely minty aroma makes it a prized ingredient for temporarily decongesting the respiratory pathways and stimulating concentration.

A TRULY FRENCH ORIGIN

Grown in France, the plants from our producers are distilled either in the Drôme Provençale (fixed distillery unit), or directly in the harvest field (mobile distillery unit), then packaged in our warehouse in Isère.

Each batch is traced from the plot to the bottle, with analyses conducted by a French laboratory.

A LOCAL ALTERNATIVE

This locally grown plant can represent a relevant alternative to popular exotic essential oils.

Despite their natural origin, these can have a significant environmental impact (deforestation, pressure on biodiversity, carbon-intensive transport).

Here is an example:

Plant: Tea tree
Origin: Australia
Comparison:

Tea tree offers a broader antimicrobial spectrum, while peppermint is better known for its digestive effects and refreshing properties. In local antiseptic use, peppermint can complement the action of tea tree thanks to its antibacterial menthol

Please note: Each essential oil has a unique identity, and the same plant can also vary depending on its origin. The equivalences proposed here do not aim to fully replace exotic plants, but to explore complementary alternatives based on your needs.

This comparison is part of an approach to promote Made in France and Made in Europe products, while encouraging responsible use of oils sourced from fragile ecosystems such as Tea Tree or Ylang-Ylang.

MOLECULAR PROPERTIES

Analgesic and local anesthetic :
quickly relieves pain through an intense cooling effect that locally numbs nerve endings. For example, it soothes headaches, insect bite itching, or minor muscle aches within minutes.
(Very powerful)
Digestive antispasmodic :
relaxes the smooth muscles of the digestive tract, helping to soothe abdominal cramps, bloating and nausea. For example, several studies confirm its effectiveness in reducing spasms and pain associated with irritable bowel syndrome.
(Powerful)
Expectorant and decongestant :
provides a sensation of respiratory tract clearing in case of cold or sinusitis. The "icy" menthol effect helps breathe more freely for a short period of time, by stimulating the cold receptors of the nasal mucous membranes.
(Moderate)
Physical and mental stimulant :
combats temporary fatigue and improves concentration. A deep inhalation of peppermint instantly awakens the senses, increasing alertness and mental acuity when experiencing a dip in energy.
(Powerful)
