Cornflower Hydrosol is a floral water obtained by hydrodistillation of the flowers of Centaurea cyanus.
Known for its soothing and decongestant properties.
This hydrosol offers a natural solution to soothe tired eyes.
It has anti-inflammatory and refreshing virtues.
A TRULY FRENCH ORIGIN
Grown in France, the plants from our partner producers are distilled either in the Drôme Provençale (fixed distillery unit), or directly in the harvest field (mobile distillery unit), then packaged in
our warehouse in Isère.
Each batch is traced from the plot to the bottle, with analyses conducted by a French laboratory.
A LOCAL ALTERNATIVE
This locally grown plant can represent a relevant alternative to certain exotic hydrosols.
Despite their natural origin, these can have a significant environmental impact (deforestation, pressure on biodiversity, carbon-intensive transport).
Voici un exemple :
Damask Rose hydrosol shares astringent and skin-soothing properties with Cornflower.
However, Damask Rose presents a more pronounced anti-aging action,
while Cornflower excels in soothing eye inflammations.
Please note: Each essential oil and hydrosol has a unique identity, and the same plant can vary depending on its origin. The equivalences proposed here do not aim to fully replace exotic plants, but to explore complementary alternatives based on your needs.
Cette comparaison s’inscrit dans une démarche de valorisation du Made in France, tout en encourageant une utilisation responsable des huiles issues d’écosystèmes fragiles comme le Tea Tree ou l’Ylang-Ylang.

Dermatological care: In dermo-pharmacy, rose hydrosol serves as a soothing aqueous base in lotions for sensitive or damaged skin. Incorporated into a magistral preparation (cream or lotion for eczema, couperose, sunburn, etc.), it helps reduce erythema and heat sensation through its anti-redness effect.
