Hyssop officinalis hydrosol is recognized in aromatherapy for its remarkable mucolytic and expectorant properties. This floral water offers the advantage of providing the therapeutic benefits of hyssop without the risks associated with the corresponding essential oil, which is particularly rich in neurotoxic ketones.

A TRULY FRENCH ORIGIN

Grown in France, the plants from our partner producers are distilled either in the Drôme Provençale (fixed distillery unit), or directly in the harvest field (mobile distillery unit), then packaged in
our warehouse in Isère.

Each batch is traced from the plot to the bottle, with analyses conducted by a French laboratory.

A LOCAL ALTERNATIVE

This locally grown plant can represent a relevant alternative to certain exotic hydrosols.

Despite their natural origin, these can have a significant environmental impact (deforestation, pressure on biodiversity, carbon-intensive transport).

Voici un exemple :

Plant: Eucalyptus
Origin: Australia, Tasmania
Comparison:

Eucalyptus presents more powerful expectorant properties thanks to 1,8-cineole,
but hyssop offers a gentler action and better tolerance,
particularly suited to sensitive respiratory pathways and prolonged applications.

Please note: Each essential oil and hydrosol has a unique identity, and the same plant can vary depending on its origin. The equivalences proposed here do not aim to fully replace exotic plants, but to explore complementary alternatives based on your needs.

Cette comparaison s’inscrit dans une démarche de valorisation du Made in France, tout en encourageant une utilisation responsable des huiles issues d’écosystèmes fragiles comme le Tea Tree ou l’Ylang-Ylang.
