Originating from French Mediterranean mountainous regions, this floral water presents mucolytic and antispasmodic properties. Particularly beneficial for respiratory conditions and sensitive skin.

A TRULY FRENCH ORIGIN

Grown in France, the plants from our partner producers are distilled either in the Drôme Provençale (fixed distillery unit), or directly in the harvest field (mobile distillery unit), then packaged in
our warehouse in Isère.

Each batch is traced from the plot to the bottle, with analyses conducted by a French laboratory.

A LOCAL ALTERNATIVE

This locally grown plant can represent a relevant alternative to certain exotic hydrosols.

Despite their natural origin, these can have a significant environmental impact (deforestation, pressure on biodiversity, carbon-intensive transport).

Voici un exemple :

Plant: Ylang ylang
Origin: Madagascar, Philippines, Indonesia
Comparison:

Ylang ylang hydrosol, renowned for its relaxing and balancing action on combination skin, joins mountain inula in soothing the nervous system. However, ylang ylang stands out for its more pronounced exotic fragrance and a specific action on oily skin.

Please note: Each essential oil and hydrosol has a unique identity, and the same plant can vary depending on its origin. The equivalences proposed here do not aim to fully replace exotic plants, but to explore complementary alternatives based on your needs.

Cette comparaison s’inscrit dans une démarche de valorisation du Made in France, tout en encourageant une utilisation responsable des huiles issues d’écosystèmes fragiles comme le Tea Tree ou l’Ylang-Ylang.

MOLECULAR PROPERTIES

Mucolytic and expectorant :
The hydrosol of mountain inula contains terpenes that help to thin mucus in the respiratory tract and promote its elimination through their expectorant action, particularly effective against respiratory conditions.
(Powerful)
Anti-inflammatory :
The aromatic compounds and molecules such as bornyl acetate give it a moderate action against redness and inflammation, useful for soothing skin irritations.
(Moderate)
Antispasmodic :
Bornyl acetate present limits involuntary muscle contractions such as respiratory spasms, thus acting against the cough reflex.
(Moderate)
Antiseptic :
The hydrosol has a mild antiseptic action against bacteria and fungi, making it possible to cleanse minor wounds and act against acne in the case of oily skin.
(Moderate)
