What are the prices for lavender essential oils?
Average prices range from €160 to €300 per kilo for angustifolia varieties, depending on production method, rarity and essential oil yield.
Lavandin is considerably cheaper due to its easier production. The average price is €33 to €60 per kilo.
What varieties of lavender essential oil are available?
Lavandula angustifolia is considered the benchmark, prized for the richness of its therapeutic, soothing and healing properties. It forms the heart of our production.
To meet the specific needs of each professional and demanding individual client, our distillery has deliberately developed a broad range:
Fine/true lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
A fine, gentle and balanced essential oil, rich in linalool and linalyl acetate.
Spike lavender (Lavandula latifolia)
More aromatic, naturally containing camphor, ideal for respiratory, muscular and skincare applications.
Wild-harvested
Rare plants, hand-harvested on protected terroirs, offering exceptional aromatic quality and low yields, reserved for high-end formulations.
Maillette
A selected true lavender variety, known for its soft floral fragrance, highly prized in natural cosmetics and perfumery.
Matheronne
An ancient Provençal variety with a powerful and distinctive aromatic profile, sought for specific aromatic and therapeutic applications.
Lavandin Grosso
A high-yield natural hybrid with an intense fragrance, ideal for perfumery, household products and certain cosmetic applications.
Lavandin Super
A finer, more balanced version, highly appreciated for its excellent quality-to-wholesale-price ratio.
What is the difference with Bulgarian lavender?
French lavender is produced according to strict agricultural standards, with complete traceability from plot to batch, chromatographic analyses and a very demanding regulatory framework.
Much of Bulgarian lavender comes from intensive production, often less regulated on environmental and regulatory grounds, with more variable traceability and quality consistency between batches.
Thanks to the historic distillation expertise and the constant sunshine of the region, it can also be more stable, finer aromatically and more reliable in a short supply chain.
What quality guarantees do you provide?
For each batch you can benefit from:
- Complete chromatographic analyses (GC)
- Traceability: botanical name, chemotype, origin, growing method, plot
Our essential oils are 100% pure, chemotyped, predominantly certified organic, some compliant with the COSMOS standard.
For certain needs, we also offer conventional lavender — do not hesitate to request a quote.
How is lavender essential oil produced?
Lavender is grown in France, mainly in the south, in the Drôme, Isère and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, under the sun, at varying altitudes, according to the rules of organic farming or reasoned cultivation without pesticides.
Harvest generally takes place between mid-July and late August, at the precise moment when the flower is richest in aromatic molecules.
The freshly cut flower tops are brought to our distillery or processed on-site with the mobile distillery.
They are then subjected to steam distillation: the steam passes through the plant material, picks up volatile compounds, then condenses. The essential oil, lighter than water, is recovered by natural decantation, without pressure or solvent.
An artisanal and controlled supplier guarantees a pure, natural, rich and stable essential oil.
